Cases books?

An upper class-men recommended reading "case" books while going through rotations..

Any recommendations?

I ve found two on amazon so far that look like they may possibly be good:

Most books in the "Case Files" series are decent.

I used Case Files Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, and OBGYN during my rotations. I would recommend them, along with a question book for Shelf prep like Lange QA (although most of these are very difficult / esoteric) or Pretest (although most of these are easier than shelf questions). Alternatively, you could use the Kaplan question book for step2 CK, as its questions are very shelf-y.

MKSAP is essential for internal medicine. Most people in my class actually prefer MKSAP 3 to MKSAP 4. Your results may vary.

Actually, I didn't use but maybe 40-50 Qs of MKSAP and found it worthless for the shelf. I focused mainly on Step up to Medicine and then UW Q's and found that to be most beneficial. Rocked the medicine shelf.

seriously you cant beat these books. I read both of them.
