Has anyone purchased these books for boards study. I think there is one for Hematopathology and one for Laboratory Medicine. If so, are these any good for boards purposes? There seems to be many cases. Since there aren't many CP question banks, I think these would be helpful if they are pertinent to the boards.

ASCP Board Review has a lot of questions for CP. I did that silly Henry's ? book and it was decent. The McClatchey ? book was tedious, didn't do much of that.

I bought the PRISE question set from ASCP. Seems pretty decent so far. Maybe a good diagnostic tool for weak points?

Is this the same thing you are talking about?

I think the PRISE writers could have done a much better job with the answer explanations. Too many are, basically, "B is right because blabla. A, C, D, and E are wrong because they are not B." The explanations are not as thorough as in question banks we are more used to for standardized exams ala USMLEWorld/QBank.

Lefkowitch is a great book with well-written explanations. I personally wouldn't recommend the PRISE.

I miss USMLE World and all the qbanks, along with the statistical analysis of your performance. I have not found anything like that yet pertaining to path. So far I'm just accumulating piles of questions in different disciplines from multiple sources and trying to do a poor man's version of the analysis in an excel chart.

"B is right because blabla. A, C, D, and E are wrong because they are not B."
hehehe

Once I had read an explanation (for USMLE) that said, "B is right because alternatives A,C, D and E are wrong, and A, C, D, E are wrong because they are not B." 😀
