In my last post, I covered question types. This time, I'll give an overview of the nine aspects.
Every CASPer scenario is built around one of these aspects. The scenario and its questions are designed to draw out your thinking in that specific area. Knowing the aspects means you can read a scenario and immediately understand what's being evaluated, which helps you focus your response rather than trying to cover everything at once.
The nine aspects are:
Collaboration — Working effectively with others toward shared goals
Communication — Expressing ideas clearly and ensuring others feel heard
Empathy — Understanding another person's perspective and responding with care
Fairness — Treating people equitably and making unbiased decisions
Ethics — Acting with honesty, integrity, and accountability
Motivation — The drive to pursue goals and overcome challenges
Problem-Solving — Analyzing challenges and finding practical, fair solutions
Resilience — Recovering from difficulties and adapting to change
Self-Awareness — Understanding your own strengths, weaknesses, and impact on others
In practice, you won't be told which aspect a question is targeting. But once you've read enough scenarios, patterns become clearer.
One thing I'd recommend: build a short personal reflection bank before your test. For each of the nine aspects, write down one experience that shows your reasoning, values, or growth in that area. Reflective questions are much easier to answer when you've already thought through your examples.
