Categorical spots for re-applicants?

Hey all... Just wondering, for re-applicants who have already done a prelim year, is it possible to apply for / interview for any of the Categorical programs? If so, does that mean we'd have one less year of our training funded? Just curious....

I don't know how it would affect funding for training, but one year plus the four categorical certainly wouldn't be too many. Yes, I know people who didn't match then did a categorical program after their intern year. You basically end up doing two intern years.

Indiana is one of them. If I recall correctly there are anywhere from one to two dozen.
