As far as I know, the CBSE remain be scored. So, along with the CBSE, class rank, research, ECs and the interview will be the major factors in determining your match success.
Makes no sense for it to be pass/fail. It came out because the nbde went pass/fail and programs wanted something to distinguish one student from another more objectively.
