Is anyone aware of any articles or studies that show that CBT is and effective treament fr PTSD, with specific regards to the armed forces? I need some info for a research paper and my school is having problems with their Psycarticles account so I can't access the database for info.

Here are a few meta-analyses/reviews that you could look at. I'm not sure they will answer you're specific question of effectiveness in military populations but they will be a good start.

Bisson et al. (2007). Psychological treatments for chronic post-traumatic stress disorder. -British Journal of Psychiatry

Sherman (1998). Effects of Psychotherapeutic Treatments for PTSD: A Meta-Analysis of Controlled Clinical Trials.- Journal of Traumatic Stress

Bradley et al. (2005). A multidimensional Meta-analysis of psychotherapy for PTSD-American Journal of Psychiatry

Van Etten & Taylor (1998). Comparative Efficacy of Treatments for Post-Traumatic stress disorder: A meta-analysis-Clinical psychology and psychotherapy.

Hope this will help you get started. Good luck :luck:
