Hey guys
I was just wondering if I should retake cc courses at a 4 year college? I got A's in the classes but I know it's bad to take them at a CC and some of the schools I'm thinking about applying to dont accept CC credits in pre req courses. I just took bio 100, gen chem 1, and gen chem 2 at a CC.

Well all I can say is if you plan on applying to those schools then youll either have to retake or take more advanced classes to make up for that. If your a bio major I wouldnt worry about retaking bio cause youll end up with a ton of bio credit. Chem on the other hand, at my school at least the upper level chem classes are beasts. From what I know schools prefer you to take upper level science to cover the pre reqs.

I took chem 1 at a CC and now i'm taking a chemistry quantitative and qualitative analysis class to make up for it. It's hard as balls but worth it. The other choice was to retake chem 1 but that advanced chem class covers some science elective credit for my major and minor as well.

Some schools won't accept CC credit so know which those schools are before you decide.

I believe Marquette and Temple do not accept CC for pre reqs.

Take a look at doc toothaches mini guide. It has what schools do and do not accept CC in great detail.
