CC to UC transfer

I am going to start at a CC and transfer to a UC school. The problem is that in order to transfer to a UC school you need at least 60 units at a CC and a lot of the prereqs for dental school ie. bio, chem, and physics at the CC as well. My thinking is that it won't matter if I take lower division science at a CC(prereq or not) if I take all the upper division science at a UC school with good grades throughout.

I believe you are right. I did the California CC to UCI route and took many prereqs at the CC, including: Gchem, calc, english, physics, and all lower division bio stuff. If you do well at the UC and on the DAT, most adcoms will not care (in my experience) about the CC credit. I had plenty of acceptances including several of the more competitive schools. Maybe save Ochem for the UC if you can.
