Am absolutely not a recruiter. Just made an account for anonymity. I have no dog in this fight, just looking for work, and usually I despise AMCs and their corporate ilk (that said, the abundance of 3+ year actual partnership tracks out there that employ you for HALF of what partners make in distributions aren't much better in that regard). However, the money seems higher at the CCI jobs than other AMCs, so maybe I can do anything for a few years?

The recruiter is doubling down

You would need to be anonymous about checking out a random amc because...

I'd consider their jobs if they were located in cities with amenities and after school activities for my children. Most of the locations are in small community hospitals in small towns. 500k 26 weeks on. or 600k q4 call with 13 weeks off type of jobs. 1099 pay without benefits. The job could be good if the call is light.

I spoke with them a few years back and almost did an interview. Their MO seems to target small, undesirable practices and pay a high 1099 wage. I've seen a lot of their jobs last "a while" on gaswork. I assume they negotiate a high stipend and make big promises but I do not have any real experience with them except a few phone calls including their CEO.

That sounds like a nice starting gig for a newbie attending without family

They are one of the worst and most unprofessional practices by far.

They have contracts with hospitals that are either CRNA only and are now looking for 'physician leader' (basically all risk and CRNA politics and no real power). Most of their practices are in very rural areas.

I interviewed for a job with them where they were hiring me to supervise CRNAs, but the director of anesthesia was still the general surgeon

If you're asking about the Tahoe job listing, I found it very intriguing but lot of bait and switch after...didn't care to get far enough to interview.

Pretty enticing though - 600k 1099, 17 wks off, 1:4 call w/ post off.

Well guess what, it was 1:3 w/o post off when someone is on vacation which is actually 52 weeks of the year given the amount of vacation.

It’s shameful yet unsurprising that these places lie about the basics of the job. I wonder what more tricks would surface once someone takes the job?
