Can anyone provide an example as to how emergency medicine physicians who do a critical care fellowship split their time between the two? I know of some who do 50/50 and 80/20, but I'd like to know how that translates into a weekly or monthly schedule. Thanks in advance.

At my med school the 50-50 EM/NeuroCC people did 1 week in the unit and ~7 12 hr shifts. There were some that did 2 weeks in the unit and 4 shifts in the department.

We have 2 EM/CC guys who are split 50/50 and they just alternate months. One month, Dr A is in the ICU and Dr B is in the ED, then they swap the next month.
