Hello. I was wondering about doing the DO/PhD at CCOM.

What kind of GPA do you need in the 1st 2 years?

I think the Midwestern Univ, CCOM website says you do the PhD at an outside institution.

Where might these outside institutions be?

Is there anyone out there who graduated with a DO/PhD from CCOM with advice?

I asked these same questions at my interview last october and was told by Dr. Mayer(sp) that this info on the website should be taken off, because he didn't know of anyone who had done this. He said it was due to a few factors, additional cost associated with the phd being a major one.

I think his point was that it does exist, but there are many obstacles to overcome to make it happen. It sounded to me like there was no established program u could just start, but the onus was on the student to figure things out.

I asked about it too and the reaction was so bad, I thought I had read about it for a different school (thought wasn't getting into this school now). I went home and looked on their website to be sure. Basically NO ONE does it at their school.
