CCOM Response Time

I interviewed over at CCOM on 1/18.
They did not say anything about getting back to us or when they would. Most d.o. schools have a good turn-around and are ~2 weeks.
Does anyone know when can I or others who are waiting expect to hear back?

I heard (from friends that go there) that the admissions committee meets at the end of each month. So sometime after that.
Nonetheless any insight is appreciated in this grueling bitch of a process!

umm lets see... for me it took like 3 weeks?!?! i forget when i interviewed, it was like early december, and i got my admission call before christmas... so it was like 3 weeks... i'm not sure how often the committee meets every month...well GOOD LUCK!!! hope to see you in the fall!!

I interviewed the same day you did. They said it would take 2-4 weeks. I heard that the committee meets at the end of the month, so very soon. We will probably hear early Feb.

👍 this is how it works:

At CCOM, applicants are reviewed on a competitive basis. In any given interview "cycle" ( there is roughly 1 - 2 every month ), you are competing with the other applicants interviewing in your cycle. The ADCOM meets at the end of each cycle ( roughly each month...varies from the beginning, middle, to the end of the month ), and decides the fates of the applicants they interviewed. Depending on how busy the cycle is ( pretty busy at this point ) , the adcom goes through all the post interview applicants and sends out responses each month . Depending on if you interviewed at the beginning, middle, or end of the cycle, you could hear a response in as little as 1 week( you just made the cut off at the end of the cycle, and adcom meets soon after your interview ), or as long as 4 or 5 ( you're the first batch of the cycle ). Also, if you are accepted, CCOM usually calls. If you have less pleasing news, it's usually snailmail - which also affects reaction time.

i only know so much because i chew the ear off of CCOM admissions staff at their open houses each year.

Interviewed Dec 6, got an acceptance Dec 18

Under 2 weeks = fast!
