In most states, you have to be living there as a non-student or part-time student for a year or more to qualify as being a resident. You usually cant do that as a medical student.
I tried to look on CCOMs website to see what their criteria is but their website is crap and you cant find anything. 👎
From what I remember when I talked to them, they don't change your status even if you've been a student there for a year. So, if you are out of state when you start, you'll be considered an out of state student all four years.
to get residency in illinois, you have to do something like, work and earn up to half your tuition, or show that you do on paper. on top of that, u have to pay utilities, have a place there, license, etc....not sure what cComs personal policiies are.
