ccom

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just sent my deposit into CCOM so I'll share some of my thoughts:

Strengths: Great Clinical sites, lots of future residencies in Chicago area, small but nice campus with workout facilities and apartments, Some research opportunities (unusual for a DO school).

Weaknesses: expensive (tuition and living - compared to Texas), limited research (I'm coming from a major research U), cold weather (depends on your tastes).

These are just my opinions and are in no way inclusive of everything offered at CCOM. Also, a lot of my decision was based on "feel". I picked the place where I felt most comfortable and that I could envision myself attending (walking the campus, etc.)

Remember, in the end, if you work hard you'll be a doctor no matter what school you attend. Just pick the place that matches your style and where you'll be happy for 2 years of your life.

Good Luck!

I also just sent my deposit to ccom for many of the same reasons that you listed. I have to say that the biggest reason for me besides the fact that you don't have to move around the country your third and fourth year, was the "feel effect". It just felt like it was the right place.

Perhaps we will be classmates, as I also sent my deposit in.

Looks like we will 👍

Why is there no "official CCOM Class of 2009 Thread" ?

We need to start one in the osteopathic forum.
