I was wondering--if you input something into the ccs software, will it only give you orders that make sense? The scenario I'm concerned with is having to memorize all the po meds vs. iv meds--if something only comes in iv, the ccs software won't trick you in giving you an option of that drug in po form, thus taking points off for a route that doesn't make sense?
I guess the heart of my question is: if ccs provides you orders that all make sense, then you really don't have to memorize po vs. iv drugs bc they would automatically come up.

I'm pretty sure you really won't be able to order something that doesn't exist on the CCS. So if it doesn't come PO, then you won't have that option. But there are meds that come in both IV and PO form but don't have the same utility. Eg you have the ability to give vanc PO or IV, but only the former is going to help you treat c. diff.

Right of course, I completely agree it's intuitive that you would intuitively know that you use something po to clear something enteric/gi, however I'm more concerned with very generic things, eg I believe dicloxacillin is the only PO out of the ox/clox/diclox/naf, whereas all are IV, you would have that route instantly available.
I guess my birds eye pearl to get from you law, is don't stress so much about commiting to memory the route of things if they give you possible routes on the drop down menu, ie if nafcillin doesn't exist po *I don't think it does*, then I could easily find an alternative po as I'm navigating ccs during the test.
