Hey -- msIII here looking for a suggestion about a good icu/ccu rotation with some good anes exposure for a fourth year elective. Any advice for good places to learn and possibly get some procedures?

Hey -- msIII here looking for a suggestion about a good icu/ccu rotation with some good anes exposure for a fourth year elective. Any advice for good places to learn and possibly get some procedures?

Cleveland Clinic's SICU. Tons of procedures (arterials, brachials, subclavians, IJ's, etc). Plus it is ran by anesthesiology with a couple orf surgeons who are CC boarded. Decent hours 7:30-5 and you take call q4 or less if you prefer.

The Clinic also gives free board and on-call meal money. Not a bad gig when you are a visiting medical student.
