Nobody in my life really understands how great this is, but I went from taking 90 minutes on a PAT to finishing in 60 mins with a score of 20 on CDP #5....

was it the easiest one so far? Probably. Did I not get to a few of the TFE's I skipped? Yes! But progress has been made!

Bottom Line: If anyone is down because of PAT! Don't give up! (And give CDP #5 a shot!) You will get better!

Also, I read in a recent post that they set up PAT on the actual DAT so 4 sections are not so bad and two sections are ridiculously hard... can anyone else verify this?

I hope someone actually cares about this post... otherwise i'm going to feel weird... lol!

I know how you feel. I wondered how I would do it all within an hour but I was able to by test 6 I think. Since then doing it within the hour is not a problem and I have time to go through a few of my marked ones. At this point I'm doing 1 test/day until my exam.

I also took CDP # 5 this morning!!! It was a great start of my day 🙂

From what I've heard, hole punching will be much harder than CDP but angles are easier (thanks god!)

Each test varies but I truly hope angles are easier on the real thing.
Aside from that I just took my 15th CDP and got a 22....I finally cracked my highest score which was 21. I even got 100% on pattern folding (it's all about keeping track of process of elimination. YAY!

Angle ranking on the DAT: 9/10 in terms of difficulty. CDP: 10/10, so not THAT much difference.

Hole punching on the DAT: 7/10. CDP: 8/10.

The hole punching on the real DAT had less I-punched-my-paper-here-but-there-isn't-really-a-hole-there type of questions.

PAT is definitely doable. Don't think of it as a chore, think of it as a break from taking the test! It's the only section of the DAT where you don't have to show that you know something; they give you all you need! I hated it in the beginning, but definitely grew to liking it in the end.

I agree with these numbers. I thought the angles on the real DAT were actually pretty comparable to CDP (hard)

However, I thought the keyholes on the real DAT were harder. Hole punching on real DAT=easier.

you don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great... and you'll get better and better...

Good job OP. I hit a 20 in the 4th or 5th test too if I remember correctly. After that first 20 its smooth sailing until you hit that huge brick wall known as DAT Achiever! TFE and Keyhole are a little easy on CDP, cubes and angles are harder on CDP compared to the real thing.
