I know there's threads on this before but I wanted to know from people who have taken the DAT recently what sections are most similar to each.

From what I've read it seems like the Keyholes and Pattern Folding on the real DAT are more similar to Bootcamp, and the rest of the sections more similar to CDP.

When I do angle ranking and cube counting on CDP I usually get at least 11-12 right but I feel like those two sections in particular are ridiculous on Bootcamp.

Any help appreciated.

I would start of with CDP and then use Bootcamp. CDP will help guide you to answering a variety of PAT questions so that you don't sink if thrown in the water. Bootcamp made their questions harder, especially for keyhole and angle ranking. Bootcamp has the a pretty good set of examples that are similar to the exam.
Bootcamp strengths: Keyhole & Angle Ranking
CDP strengths: TFE, cube counting, and Hole punching.
I'd say that both have good examples of pattern folding though. GET BOTH!

I took the test twice, the first time I used BC for the PAT, I didn't find it helpful and scored low. Second time mostly CDP and scored a 21. I definitely thought CDP was a better representation than BC

I found Bootcamp's keyhole questions are very similar to the real test. Good luck!

I have a private tutor for PAT. we are using CDP and achiever. he told me although Achiever is hard it prepares you well and CDP is the closest thing to the PAT on DAT.
I guess I'll find out when I take the DAT.

What about the cube counting in particular? I feel like theres a huge discrepancy between the two. On CDP ill consistently get 14/15 15/15 but on Bootcamp cube counting I'm getting like 8-10

Cdp cubes are too long i guarantee you wont see that many. Bootcamp is good practice and similar but 2009 test cubes are most similar in my opinion

What about angle ranking? In CDP I feel like the angle ranking is pretty easy.. Its usually pretty easy to single out the smallest/largest. But Bootcamp angles are on a whole different level..

They're similar to boot camp unfortunately, maybe some of them were a bit easier... but yeah, those damn angles.

I practiced so much on angles and i even got to getting only 1 or 2 wrong on cdp and bc but i guess i screwed up on the test. I think thats where i lost my points. Dont overthink it
