My school offers a course called Biochemistry and Physiology of the Cell and another called General Biochemistry. Which would you think is best for the biochem component of the MCAT?

Course descriptions
Biochem&Phys of Cell
The roles of biologically important molecules in cell structure and function, emphasizng an integrated understanding of the characteristic of the four major classes of biological molecules and the chemical interactions that support living systems.

Gen Biochem
Structure and dynamics of compounds of biological interest.

General biochemistry. Both are useful, but you want broader knowledge for the MCAT. I imagine you have already or will take a course of cell biology at some point, and the biochem and phys of the cell sounds more like an elective.

i think the three important udiv bio would be: 1. biochemistry 2. genetics 3. cell bio in that order
