Cemented interview date?

Hey, how bad do you guys really think it is to change an interview date? I just got one from UV (SOOOOOOOOOO excited 😀 ) but it falls on a day when I have a lab that I cannot get out of. What do you guys think? Do I request an interview date change? ...esp. since it's less than three weeks away? yikes!!!

Call and ask. If they don't want to change it they will tell you. No one should hold that against you. Besides, changing a date has to make a better impression than not showing up.

Before you offficially change it, just ask the secretary when the soonest date would be. And work down the list until you find the earliest possible date + best fit for your schedule. If it's like a month later than your original date, just keep it and skip the lab (this is if the school is rolling or semirolling). 4th year grades dont matter much anyways. Secretaries won't care if you change it as long as you don't do it more than once.

I can't believe they wont reschedule the lab. Try to ask if you can do it with a different section or make it up. What happens to people who are sick and can't make it in? You might have to "take a sick day" if it comes down to that.
