I believe Temple and NYU both have 18 min. req.s in each section.

I think the cut-off from Temple might be 16. I have a 17 in QR and I was accepted to Temple.

Overall, I think you'll be fine with a 16 in QR at most schools.

i had a 14 qr and received 5 interviews

check the ADEA publication or the school's website for the most accurate information. Many schools prefer scores of 18 or above, but there could be exceptions, especially with some of the state schools.

I think this is relative and it varies with the schools and the circumstances for each applicant (GPA, dental experience, community service). I got a 14 in QR and was accepted at Creighton . UF says they want at least a 15 in all the disciplines but I got an interview with them.

Actually NYU does not have cut off. They are students on predents.com who got accepted with AA:17! I think it depends on each person application.

Snobs at Pitt told me my AA 19 last year was "really shaky" that they weren't interviewing people unless they had a 21+ AA. And that was apparently all they were looking at. I had my app in well before summer was over, 4.0GPA, tons of shadowing/interning, all that other good stuff. And I'm even from PA. I got into 2/3 of the schools I applied to and they never even had the courtesy to tell me they were reviewing my app or anything. It was only when I them called to withdraw I asked them why they hadn't said anything.

Generally, if you have a good application, you needn't worry about cut offs too much. Schools normally have some sort of a cut off, but it is by no means a RULE.

hi everyone. do you know if some schools have certain cutoffs of what DAT scores they require in for the low in all categories?? i am applying this next cycle and really had hopes of giving Columbia a shot. My stats are are very good except the 16 on QR, and the rest are on the pre dents link on the left. I also have a summer experience as a dental assistant and this coming summer i am going to be an oral surgeons assistant. What do you guys think, escpecially for the Columbia situation?

I got a 16 in RC and got accepted to Columbia. I don't think there's a cutoff score, they look at your whole application. I think you should be fine.
Good luck.

I agree, I have 17 RC and got into Columbia....I think as long as you have at least a 20 AA you have a shot at Columbia...
