does a certified dental assistant make you "better" than an uncertified? anyone know what admissions think?

I think being certified has other connotations, such as also being certified in anesth., although I could be wrong in this.

JMJRDH1 said:Whether or not you are certified, an assistant will usually perform the same functions in the average dental office. The difference is that the CDA has textbook knowledge behind the clinical skill while the preceptor trained assistant knows what to do and how to do it, but not necessarily how it actually occurs chemically, physically etc. While the former would seem "better", as far as ADCOMS go, I doubt it would make any difference at all.
