HI Guys,
This is my first post, I am so excited! I am hoping to go to medical school in a few years and I have a question. My school offers a certificate in food science, which requires 5 courses. Do medical schools like these types of certificates?
Ending my first post!!

Welcome! I'm assuming you are going to a 4 year university or community college. The short answer for these kinds of questions is always, "do what you like". If you are interested in food science and you can get some kind of minor/certificate/recognition for taking those courses, by all means, go for it! It can only be a plus. Just make sure you have your prerequisite courses. Good luck!

Med schools don't really care about your major, they care even less about your minors, and, if possible, they care even less about a certificate. If you're interested in doing it because you're interested in food science, then go for it, but don't do it for the sole purpose of med school.
