Has anyone heard anything about Walmart raising the minimum hourly wage for certified techs? All my certified techs who were making under 16 an hour just got a raise to equal $16. Most just got a 1.50 something this week communicated by personnel. I saw another job posting in my district for a tech saying 12.50 to start and 16 once certified which you have to get by the end of 1 year. I'm guessing this is in response to staying competitive, but we never received a corporate email about it. Does CVS and Walgreens have a minimum for certified techs?

I believe the increase is region-specific

Any increase in wages will be offset by stagnation or decrease in S3G supportive hours.

I kinda hope this would be across the board. $16/hour and the employee discount makes it kind of attractive, in my opinion. I've heard they are willing to work around school schedules, as well. Can anyone in the NC/SC area comment on this increase?

My area is Midwest FYI

I get the idea to attract better job candidates, but does anyone else feel even greater urgency to get rid of the dead weight in your pharmacy who get the higher rate also but are mediocre to useless, but can't because of HR politics?

This is literally only the 3rd reason why I liked working for CVS... seems to be easier to get rid of techs.
