Has anyone else requested the personal copy of the Certiphi background check from the AADSAS portal? I entered my email and it says Certiphi will contact me within 24 hr, and I've had no word yet (it's been ~ a week). I called Certiphi and they said they haven't received any 2014 cycle requests yet (ie, AADSAS ID#s starting with 2014)... Strange. Has anyone else, perhaps those of you who've had a more deviant past :naughty:, tried to request this?

Try calling AADSAS maybe they know something about that.

You can request a copy? I didn't know that. What are the pros/cons of requesting a copy versus not requesting?

Pro = knowledge is power
Con = you're out a couple bucks, especially if you haven't done anything worth keeping in a police file.

Hmmm, maybe I should invest in it. How long do detentions stay on your record? In the fifth grade I got a detention for playing pokemon on my gameboy behind a book. I thought I was soooo sneaky 😛

You should get a ticket for your run on sentences.

Of all the people to be giving grammar and punctuation advice on sdn , you don't seem to be the one . Don't you agree ?

I do agree.

But still , I pointed out a run on sentence.

Oh, you were pointing out a run on sentence? I thought you were just joking. Like, they should give out felonies for not participating in show and tell. How did I use a run on sentence?

Yup, also not really seeing the run-on. There's a comma or two I might insert if this were a formal piece of writing, but tooth knockn, are you being serious? It sort of seems like you are. Even as someone who is very grammatically and spelling proficient, I find it abrasive when people go around correcting others, especially when it's obvious that they are writing informally. I know I'm butting in, but I see stuff like this on the forums and I'm just sort of like, "What the heck!?" LOL! Let's be kind. 🙂

OP, call AADSAS. It's almost always the best solution.

dAts wazZzup.

I've seen many posts like this turn ugly in a hurry. However, I have never seen anyone say sorry before. Tooth knockn should definitely get the SDN Good Citizen Award. BTW, I am not taking sides here just applauding one person's good action.
