Just a quick question. I sent my matriculation payment to a school and got the email about submitting a background check. I have two interview coming up that if I get accepted to either,
I will be withdrawing from the school that sent me the background check request. What I am wondering is if I pay the $150 this time, is that information available to subsequent schools that accept me? or do I have to pay the $150 for every school that accepts me (assuming I want to accept my seats at those schools)

Thanks in advance!

there's a list of schools (can't remember where i saw it) that accept the certphi background checks. check it the other schools you're interviewing at are on it since that means they'll just use the same background check that you already paid for. the drug test portion of it could be another story though.

The $150 is the maximum amount, it will probably not be more than $75-80.

I paid 120 for mine, so it can cost more than 80 dollars.

mine was around $60. I wonder how they determine how much you have to pay. maybe how many residences/names you've had?

are you sure that wasn't only for the drug test...

do schools even drug test? when I did the background check it didn't say anything about one. My background check was $47.

$75, I figured mine would be more since there are a few things to look at on mine 😱

It varies by what state you live in.

I've paid my matriculation deposit but haven't received the certiphi email yet...when should I expect this email?

I paid $250...what does that say about my background check? It came up with no records but I have lived in a lot of places. Also, drug test? That is supposed to be through certiphi? that doesn't make any sense to me haha

Some other questions of mine.. after agree to release the report, do I need to actually use delivery manager to send the report to the schools?

So I got my background check back today and I am a little worried. I remember it saying somewhere on aadsas that we were supposed to report any felonies or misdemeanors that we have on our records. I also remember it saying that I shouldn't report traffic tickets...So I didn't. However today while I was looking over my background check and every traffic ticket I got is a misdemeanor. I guess in Utah (where i'm from) traffic tickets are Class C misdemeanors. I am only worried because I dont want the schools to think I was trying to hide anything. Do you guys think its worth it to email the schools i'm interview at to let them know? or do they generally not care about traffic tickets (whether they are misdemeanors or not).

Email or call the school that gave you acceptance because they MAY saw the MISDEMEANORS and missed the TRAFFIC TICKETS description. 🙂

I believe it's based on the state you reside in. I read something about certain states having additional databases of records (NY, if I recall correctly), ergo checks in that state cost more. Mine was only 30$, and I'm in CA.

Your fine, no need to call any schools. That's why they tell you not to include traffic tickets on AADSAS.
