I know this has been talked about on the forum in the past but I was hoping to get an update and some advice from some of the RFA gurus. Anyone using nimbus/trident needles for cervical rfa? If so, what generator are you using? We have a Stryker MultiGen2 and based on the Nimbus product catalogue (which hasn't been updated since 2022) they claim the nimbus needles are compatible with the Multigen1 but do not mention multigen2.

Would love to try the nimbus needles but no since in ordering them if they wont work with our current generator. My thought is it could potentially allow me to do a perpendicular approach for RFA which might be faster/safer/less radiation. Lateral decubitus position, rfa needle down to os like mbb.

Edit:
I know nimbus needles are expensive and I know most people use SIS technique, just curious and always trying to improve/have alternative options. Thanks

The answer I got from the rep is that the Nimbus needles can be used with Gen 1 and Gen 2. The Nimbus probes can only be used with Stryker Gen 1. Gen 2 have chips on them that only allow use of their specific probes. I just don’t use the Nimbus probes and use the Stryker probes instead.

Very helpful. So I can just use my current setup with the probes I have (I use them with venom needles) and use Nimbus needles without any additional adapters or anything? That would be awesome
