I think any parasthesia free system is fine, I like using Medtronic , there battery is small and has adaptive technology.
Place the battery in the left flank. Less tunneling vs the top of the buttock. Would go for buttock if skinny patient though

The hard part is where to access.

The tunneling and battery location is more of secondary thing that depends on patient anatomy. Just try not to move it anterior as it is a pain in the butt for doing lead revisions. I ask the patient how the sleep, bra/clothing, get a rough idea for cardiac risk as I prefer to keep the can down on the back in those.

I would love to hear more about the axilla implant but that seems like a PITA too.

Usually left buttock for me but I've seen a colleague implant axillary with excellent cosmesis.

When you do this, is patient flat prone with arms by the sides?

How does that do with scapular movement when they're doing rows or pull downs?

No issues with arm movements. Incision is vertical on the body at the posterior axillary line. Have retired military guy who rides motorcycles and scuba dives no issue.
