I have a 36P and 3.9 from UW-Madison. Two years volunteering in ER and work/research in lab in the medical school.

The only school I have gotten an Interview from (so far) is UoIowa. I am hoping to get in to at least one of the following:Northwestern, UCLA, Stanford, Wash U., U Penn, (I applied to most in early october).

I thought I had a pretty good chance, but now i'm not so sure. Anybody have any idea?

Thx

Any reason why you didn't apply to MCW or UW-Madison Med? You'd have a far better chance there...

don't want to go to those schools

I must be sick! This is my 2nd SDN deja vu!

See the only people that can tell you your chance at a specific school with CONFIDENCE are the people involved with admissions at that school.

If someone tells you you have a slim chance at a school, he/she will be discouraging you.

If someone tells you you have a great chance at a school, he/she may be giving you false hope.

Finally, I hope you applied to a decent number of schools to maximize your chances!

My guess is you probably should just be patient...it takes schools sometimes FOREVER to get interview invites out...especially now that they're not only sending out invites but also reviewing applications of already-interviewed-applicants.

Maaan - those are impressive quals you have there.

You gotta believe that its just that they're taking their own sweet time. You know anyone that's applied and gotten interviews there? If not - no sweat. Just hang tight, and watch some ER.

i agree with the above. Plus, you said you applied to most of the schools in early October. It's only been a month, so I wouldn't worry too much....just hang tight!

Thanks, good to hear....

Has anyone interviewed or been to Uof Iowa Med school? I know that it is a pretty decent school, but i'm a bit worried that the whole Iowa thing is going to be sort of depressing. I went to school in Madison and liked it, but i'm really looking for a bigger city now. Any thoughts?
