I have access to both right now but I've only watched the 2012 videos. In the time between teaching the 2010 and 2012 classes he has likely received feedback on his lectures and has reviewed his own videos, and as a result, has a better focused lecture which means a more efficient use of your own time.
That said, someone who's taken the time to watch both years would certainly have a more informed opinion.
