Chad's Quizzes, level of difficulty compared to real DAT

As I do Chad's quiz 5 (which is Ksp, Ka, Kb, stuff) I realize his questions are tougher than destroyer.. He slightly twists and turns questions so that you makes you think.....

I haven't taken real DAT yet, however, based on what ppl commented, Destroyer-chem was more difficult than real DAT.

That means Chad's quizzes are too much overkill for Gen section. Does anyone agree with me????

I love Chad but I just don't wanna spend extra time working on super hard questions especially when my exam date is coming up short...

I took the DAT already, and personally I believe his questions were on par with the difficulty of the real thing.

although they wont trick you as much on the real thing, Chad's "tricking" actually helped because I started to fully read the question from then on. On the real thing its not really the difficulty of the questions that gets people, but the fact that one doesn't read the question properly.

Ksp, Ka,Kb, and titration is the weeeakest part of chem. 🙁 I did the quiz and was shocked to realize it doesn't provide explanation....

So I jumped on AP CHEM from Google Books and try to get better with concepts.

Do you have any tips or your method that works well for chem????

I think Chad's quiz's are too easy because you know what is coming to you. If you watched the videos and taken good notes you should be able to know all the tricks that will be on the quiz before even taking it.

Agreed. If you take good notes from his lectures and go through them before doing the quiz, they are actually pretty easy. Just make sure you understand the concepts and it would be easier to go through the quizes. Good luck!

Take advantage of his quizzes and problem sets (identical to the quizzes but not in quiz format). They reinforce the concepts and examples you learn from his videos.

Some problems might be overkill, but for the GREAT majority he tries to test you on things that would appear on DAT/MCAT.

So far, the best materials I'm learning from are from Chad's videos. He's great!

If you study chads videos and only chads videos he teaches most of the things you need to know. He covers what he feels is gunna be a bigger portion of the test and doesn't bother covering obscure questions that are highly unlikely of showing up. If you study chads videos and really understand all the material in them you will have no problem getting a solid 18 on the real thing for gen chem and ochem. I got 20, and 22 on my chem sections by only studying chads videos only so make sure you understand all the broad concepts and ignore small details. The stuff he teaches you to do in your head with scientific notation and logs is very very useful in the quantitive reasoning more than the gen chem. He teaches you to think quick which is crucial in these timed test.

I ended up watching every single one of the videos 3 times over. Just watch the video take good notes and then take the quiz. If you fail the quiz either watch all the videos again or just the ones of the topic you didn't get the questions right on.
