Greetings all,

I have read a couple of reviews of Chad's videos here on sdn, but I still have a few questions. I was wondering if these videos really teach you how to do the math problems in a highly quick and efficient way. I remember VIHSADAS had made a post on how he was able to get a really hight PS score based on how efficiently he was in doing the mathematics involved in the exam. Does Chad help in understanding concepts and developing intuition? I remember VIHSADAS had wrote

On my real exam, I used no more than ¼ a single-sided page for scratch work on the PS. Because I was intensely comfortable with order of magnitude estimation, decimal estimation, log estimation, dimensional analysis and conceptual knowledge I could eliminate answer without too much written math. Sure, you could use the formulas to explicitly solve each problem, but using estimation along with formula manipulation will save you whole minutes on the real exam.

Does Chad's video's help you develop these skills? Also does chad have have biology videos. Sorry for the long post and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently using EK and Chad videos simultaneously and I think he does a great job emphasizing a majority of the estimations Vihasadas mentioned earlier. What I like about his videos is they do a good job breaking down equations conceptually instead of just memorizing them. By doing so, you end up sometimes not plugging and chugging as much because you've developed an intuition of what should happen in the given scenario.

Chad videos don't include Bio. BTW

So NYKnick, how are you going about studing using both EK and Chad's Videos? Are you viewing Chad's videos first and then looking over the EK material so you get a better understanding and quickly skim through the EK material?

That is exactly what i am doing! Sometimes I feel EK is too rushed and condensed so i watch the videos so i have a better understanding while reading lectures or doing practice problems.

Hey guys, I am writing my mcat and have used chad videos in the past when i was preparing for my american dat (I didnt end up writing the american dat). I am wondering, should I stick with chads videos for mcat studying or should I take the kaplan online course?

The pros about chad:
-quick and concise
-highlights key concepts and offers quizzes to reinforce the material he taught

From what i hear about kaplan:
offers insight into the psychology of the test and offers a schedule

If you could please give me your advice and why you feel either chad or kaplan is better I would be grateful!
