Retaking the MCAT in January (got a sub 500). I was wondering what you guys think of my content review plan.

I thought about using the milesdown ~100pg review pdf and doing about a couple pages per day while actively recalling and rewriting notes by hand. From there I would use YouTube and KA to supplement knowledge.

After I would continue on with jack sparrow and Pankow anki decks with the associated chapters.

What advice do you guys have for this plan?

Thank you in advance!

Hi thanks for sharing.

Sub 500 almost always means there's a gap in content.

If you're in the high 480 or low 490 I think going over content review normally through books or khan academy is best.

If you're struggling to break that 500 barrier uearth is pretty good.

For content many students find Uearth helpful because its content heavy questions which can be filtered to questions on specific topics . If you do decide to go with uearth don't stress over what you get wrong, just treat it as content review and learn from the mistakes. Add more and more questions to uearth review for each section in a similar order to the practice tests so that you can start getting used to the test taking conditions as well.

Once you are in the low 500s, do as many practice tests as possible in OPTIMAL TEST TALKING CONDITIONS. Probably the biggest regret of any student regardless of their scores is wishing they did more practice tests.

Hope this helps.

Decks are helpful too to retain the knowledge. And I have only heard good things about the 100 page doc.

I'd say the Kaplan books are quite comprehensive and I didn't feel that I needed any other resource. You can either buy it from Kaplan, or get it with a 39% discount through Amazon Amazon.com
