Hello all!

So I'm almost done watching Chad's videos for physics to study for the OAT, and I realized he mentions the MCAT a lot.

I know that the physics on the MCAT is way different than the physics on the OAT, so just to make sure, if you have watched his videos or are watching them could you please let me know if I'm watching the right set of videos?

When I click OAT videos on his website, it leads to a bunch of videos arranged by subject. For physics it says 2013 MCAT/OAT specific physics. Is that the right one? Theres also a section that says 2011 physics but Im assuming those are not very up to date and they all seem to be the same subject. Or would you recommend I watch those too?

Im just a bit confused because the MCAT and OAT have different formats, especially considering physics, so I was wondering why these are grouped together on coursesaver.

Thanks! 🙂

I'm not familiar with Chad's videos but I have taken the MCAT and I am currently studying for the OAT. The physics material on the OAT and MCAT is very similar in terms of the content, theory and equations that you need to know. The only difference is the passage based approach on the MCAT vs free-standing questions on the OAT, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. In fact, I ended up skipping over pretty much the entire physics section in the OAT Kaplan book I'm studying from because my MCAT notes already covered everything the OAT demanded.

I have watched all of Chad's videos too. You are watching the right ones. MCAT and OAT physics concepts are all the same like Meehai said.

I was confused at first too. I watched the MCAT/OAT physics section. I did feel that after going through everything that I needed to supplement with something else. Chad doesn't really go into Rotational Kinematics as much as I'd like, which is on the OAT, so remember that.

Jalam, are you using anything else for Physics? This is my weakest subject

Thanks everyone! I dont know why for some reason I thought that the OAT and MCAT had different physics sections, but i guess they're similar.

And I'm taking my OAT August 20!

I'm taking mine on the 18th! I might purchase the OAT achiever for more exposure to Physics. I would get the Physics Destroyer but it's so expensive...
