How many of you actually drink tea on a regular basis? I don't drink tea (and have only done so on a few occasions when I was sick).

I've heard of people making various concoctions with tea, any special types you all have made? I'm talking baout Indian tea, not the fruity N.American raspberry mocha type things. 😀

i only drink chai on weekends when my mom makes it for herself, my dad, and.. for me. my mom makes chai that tastes like Starbucks' Chai Latte. well.... then again, "chai latte" is slightly modified (americanized) indian chai. mm...yeah. so chai only on weekends. 🙂

i started drinking chai when i started med school! i make it with assam tea leaves, ginger, cardamon (sp?) a little bit of clove and a dash of cinnamon... delicious 😀 (ofcourse with sugar and milk!!)

I tried out Second Cup's (this is a Canadian coffee chain, more upscale than Starbucks) Chai stuff, and it was gross. I asked them what the hell did they do to this thing, and they replied, we just followed the instructions... which was adding a lot of cinammon.

Never will I try their chai-stuff again. I didn't liek how all these N.american places are joining the chai-bandwagon (ie. making Indian stuff, but gross).

Actually that second cup is very popular with the gora's. I think Tim Hortons make it. Try it there.

I never thought Timmy's made Chai at all.

And prady, Orange Pekoe does taste pretty good. Anyone tried ceylon tea? My Mama loves it.

The Thai Ice-tea available at restaurants is awesome. I also like the original Iced-Tea,which is basically cold-water,tea-bag,a little sugar, mint, lime and LOTSA Ice.

Its almost become a cold-drink in a lot of Indian restaurants and they just make it tooooo sweet.

incidentally, you get extremely dependent on tea. So if you have been able to stay away from it,good for you. Keep it that way.

Now i'm back home, i can enjoy some real Chay. I am not much regular of addict to Chay, but I did miss the real thing there in Germany for 2and a half month- then once i met a Sirdarjee living there and he was good enough to make a Chay for me!
Otherwise i was having the Hibiscus flavoured dip tea! 😱

You see, that is somethign I've never been able to enjoy: Iced Tea. I just can't stand it for some reason. But yeah... so your advice is for me to stay away from tea if I'm not already an addict? Ok.
