I was wondering why the half chair shape has the highest energy and not the boat shape.
Boat shape has the maximum torsional strain so I think boat shape should have higher Energy than half-chair.

it mentions something about 4 carbons being in a plane where two are completely eclipsed causing its instability and high energy...
