Hello,
I am a VA Resident, and because I don't have a lot of savings, I'm only trying to apply to those schools that I know I can afford. Which are VCU (In-state), UMD (I hear I can get in-state after a year), and Howard (my father teaches there, so I would get a discount towards my tuition).
My stats: 3.75 cGPA, 3.64 sGPA
DAT: 20 Average
A bunch of EC's, volunteered 400 hours at my dental clinic, done some volunteering abroad (not dent related).
Some negatives about my app: I got a C+ on Orgo I, but a B+ in Orgo II, not a great increase, but Orgo just was not my thing.
So I was hoping if you all could assess my chances of getting accepted to VCU, Howard, & UMD.
I have heard VCU is very erratic in the way they accept, and that if students have a higher GPA they do not offer them an inty b/c they think the student is using it as a backup. Is this true? Is my GPA even considered "high?"
