I am applying this summer.
GPA
cGPA: 3.83
BCPM: 3.73
sGPA without math: 3.903
Upper Division GPA: 4.0
Basically I screwed up my freshman year. I finished off with a 3.43 from a C in calculus and a B statistics. Unfortunately those are the only math classes I have taken and despite straight A's in Gen Chem, Organic, Physics and all other sciences. Every year has been a 4.0 since.
MCAT: 34
Research:
Honors in the Major Thesis for 1 year- secondary data collection
Working on a publication of primary research at an HIV clinic studying treatment and stigma with a 1000 grant from the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
No lab research
Leadership:
Relay for Life for 2 years Executive Board
1 Year of Executive Board for the LGBT agency on campus
2 years of chair positions with AMSA
Clinical:
Children's hospital-25 hours
Free clinic- 80 hours
Shadowing:
Pediatrics- 25
Pediatric ID- 25
Volunteering: probably around 100 hours on top of the hospital and leadership obligations.
