Hello
first of id like to thank in advance to everyone who could guide me through this question. I took my dat today and here are my scores:
PAT: 20
Reading comprehension: 22
Bio: 20
gen chem: 22
Organic chem: 30
Total science: 22
Academic average: 22
Ovarall GPA: 3.91
Science GPA: 3.89
I have over 550 hours of dental shadowing, over 300 hours of hospital volunteering currently in EMT classes and some other Extracurriculars. My only concern is that i got a 16 on quantative reasoning. Is that going to affect my chances a lot? I know im not going to retake because all other scores are good. Is it going to be a big deal? Has anyone having the same stats been accepted to dental school?

Lol don't spam your chance thread xD! We know you're anxious. Most of us think you're fine; if someone says you're not we'll hunt the little bugger down >: )

Some schools have cut-offs for certain scores, buy the ADEA book and look through which schools they are; maybe even call up a few schools if you're concerned and explain your situation. Personally I wouldn't bother retaking the DAT just to score higher on QR, 22 is very good.

Yea i think im not going to retake and risk other scores just to do a little better on the qr. Many posts say that the schools are a little lenient with qr. Is that true?

There is some validity in that statement, again, you'd have to contact schools for their exact answer but qr is generally the least important portion of the exam compared to the others.
