Hey everyone!

I just finished up my third year of undergrad and it's time to start getting ready to apply for this upcoming cycle. I'm a MN resident, and when I look at my stats they look very average. After this year I have a 3.75 cGPA and 3.65 sGPA. I'm scheduled to take the MCAT at the end of May :scared:.

I have 4 LORs: 1 research (decent), 1 research/psych prof (decent), 1 hospital volunteer coordinator (excellent), 1 primary care physician (decent)

My ECs include:
200+ hours of hospital volunteering experience (lots of patient interaction)
3 years club ultimate
70 hours working with handicapped children
~70 hours of shadowing physicians
1 year of research in 2 labs (one biology, one psychology) with no publications

So based on what I have so far what are my chances of getting into a MD school?

Thanks!

Most schools will also want two science faculty letters from those who have taught you, so strategize to get these.

ECs look good. Did you take on a leadership role with any organizations? Did the shadowing include any office-based primary care doc?

Chances are based on MCAT score, too. If you want to see historical AAMC outcomes (for MD applicants) with your cGPA and various test results, see: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=888650
