I know that most posters on here have thoughts on this, so it should be up your alley 😉 APAGS sent an email out about this, so you might have already seen it. But just in case you haven't!

Their email:

We are in an historic moment in the field as the guiding framework on how psychology is taught will be rewritten.

Through June 1, APA's Commission on Accreditation (CoA) wants to hear from you. CoA has an open comment period allowing individuals and groups to weigh in on a number of questions related to doctoral, internship, and post-doctoral training. CoA is seeking feedback on issues concerning accreditation, curriculum, sequence of training, diversity, structural resources, and more. Comments are not anonymous, are visible to the public, and can only be submitted online. Go to http://www.apa.org/ed/accreditation/accreditation-roadmap.aspx.

Would enough focused criticism of the standards of APA accreditation actually result in enough change to slow the gears of diploma factories like Argosy?

Probably not, but it's more productive than complaining on SDN.

I was just coming here to see if someone had posted this. I sort of wish issues related to program, internship, and post-doctoral training were more separated, but I guess this is more to allow a chance to voice issues rather than facilitate ongoing dialogue.
