I have been a Pre-dental for almost 3 years now. I just took my DAT for the third time and am on my second application cycle. My DAT have drastically increased each time and I feel my application is much stronger this year.

1st DAT - Absolutely no preparation, and just blew off the notices of it's difficulty. AA-17, TS-16, PAT-21, QR-13

2nd DAT - Prepped for 6 weeks using class notes, Crack DAT (all), and Top Score. AA-18, TS-18, PAT-23, QR-14

3rd DAT - Prepped for 9 weeks using AP Bio text, Crack DAT (only math and PAT), Top Score, and DAT & Math Destroyer. Scores for the 3rd as listed-
PAT - 22
QR - 20
RC- 19 (this was consistently 21 on previous test)
Bio- 23
GC- 20
OC- 25
TS- 22
AA- 21

My GPA is a 3.43, Sciences 3.25, Non-science 3.55
Graduated in 2009 with a degree in Exercise Science and since then have been taking my upper level Biology courses, BioChem, and organic chemistry.

I have 200 plus hours of shadowing, lots of volunteer hours (dental & community), and I have worked full time as a pharmacy technician throughout college.

Last year after my 2nd DAT I applied to only the schools in Texas, and received an interview from UT San Antonio dental school, but didn't make the cut. This year I plan on applying to all the Texas schools again, along with Louisville, LECOM, Midwestern (AZ), AT Still, Alabama, U of Ill at Chicago, and Creighton.

What are my chances? I haven't received any interview invites (took my 3rd DAT on 8/20...so maybe the schools are waiting on that??). I welcome any advice and if anyone has questions about studying for the DAT I can help.

I think you have a great chance! Good luck! And congrats on your new wonderful DAT scores! 🙂 Make sure everything else in your application is set.

Thank you! I am very excited about this round of applications!

For these "what are my chances" thread, its very difficult to give you an accurate answer because most of us are pre-dents but I think you have a great chance.

If you can, add more schools.
