Hello, I am an international student from Western Europe. I wanted to know if I could go into good schools in USA:

Academic :
520 MCAT
110 TOEFL
3.8 at Harvard as an international student
Topped my university (best university of my country)

Research:
Master in surgical sciences
1800h of research
10 publications, 1 first author

Clinical:
1000h as a scribe
400h shadowing (neurosurgery, cardiology)

Volunteering :
1000h Red Cross
300h in an american hospital
300h for helping people with cancer

Also, I was a lieutnant in the med army from my country, I used to manage 40 people.

Can you give me your opinions ?

Thank you

As an international applicant, you will always be at a detriment to US applicants, however if you have several years at an American university (Harvard, it seems) and many of the prerequisites were completed there, you might have a fairly decent shot at the schools that accept international applicants.

Excellent stats!

You went to undergrad in your own country? What was that GPA?
Did you go to Harvard for grad school?

Is your intent to practice in your home country or here? Do med schools care? Are they more likely to accept an int’l if their intent is to practice here?

As you know, your chances are slim. Another issue is your later residency. The hospital would have to sponsor your visa and (I think) pay your salary (rather than fed gov’t).

You have asked this same question several times this week. The only difference is you changed the US school from Cornell to Harvard. Answers are not going to change no matter how many times you post this question. As an international student without a green card , your chances are very slim. Are you planning to return to your home country to practice medicine ? If so just stay in your home country and finish school.

Why not complete your medical education in your home country and then consider applying for a US residency spot, or for a fellowship, if you get high scores on the USMLE boards.

@Tenk @PreMedMissteps actually, i am eligible for EB1 greencard, and if a take the premium option, i will have my greencard in a delay of 15 days, and, of course, I want to work in the US.
I went for 1 year at Harvard Med School, and in my own country, I had a GPA of 4.6, but I was the first of my med school

You previously stated you went to Cornell. Now you are saying you went to Harvard Med school for a year? Did you go to Cornell for anything? I keep thinking I’m missing a big bunch of this story. Do you have a Bachelors Degree? Do you plan to apply to med school as a first year student? If so, When do you plan to apply?

I know several internationals who are in med school rn or have been accepted this cycle (including me). They all went to undergrad in the US

I'm sorry, I wanted to say 3.6, I didn't checked it, and about Cornell/Harvard, it is a reason of privacy, my exchange university of one of a T10 med school

I have a bachelor degree also, but thank you for all of your answers !
