I am wondering my chances at getting into a Podiatry school for this next cycle --- I have a 3.1 cumulative GPA, do to a poor first run at college ( my first degree).

After 6 years out of school I returned - I have a 3.8 science GPA -- I have made the Dean's List the last 4 years ( big upward trend ). And am wrapping up my Cell Biology degree in the spring ---

The bad thing is I scored a crappy 20 O on the MCAT.

Will I still be competitive as far as applicants go?

Will my science GPA save me a little bit?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
THANKS!

GPA is competitive, but MCAT is a little low. Get some good LOR's and shadowing experience and you should be fine at most schools.

Oh yeah and apply early for a better chance at scholarships. School is expensive.

Agreed. Work on a few more MCAT points and you're a shoe-in (pardon pun) at most Pod schools.

Given the details of the information you have provided...I have placed it into a complex algorithm that should calculate your chances of getting into pod school and it says....50%...you either will or you wont.

Take the MCAT once more then apply to as many schools as possible...contact the individual institutions to find out what the MCAT cutoff is...good luck
