Im new to this forum and didnt know where to post this, but I was wondering what you all thought my chances were at TUSPM.

Science GPA: 3.33
C GPA: 3.48

Im interested in Temple because they are the only school that accepts the DAT in which i scored an 18 on.

If anyone could give me thier thoughts and any more info on TUSPM I would greatly appreciate it.

you will most likely get in, I would just take the MCAT in January and try for others too with your stats, unless that's really where you want to go. Although I hope you're not just doing it because you didn't get into dental school, if that's the case just reapply next year, do what you really have a desire for, if podiatry is really an interest than take the MCAT and go to the school you really want to go to.

I'm with sorham on this one. If you really want to do podiatry, take the MCAT interview at a few schools, and pick the one that suits you best. Just picking a school because they take the DAT isn't a great reason to pick the school.

I don't want to scare the crap out of you... but did you know podiatry has a residency shortage as of now? If your going to join a pod school have this in mind; it's NOT gonna be a piece of cake to make a good living like it used to be. Did you know the APMA is still struggling to get a full scope of practice in some states, like NY?
Straight from admissions office at Temple... as of now 300+ applicants for approx. 100 seats and it is only December, most applications ever. It's getting competitive.
It looks like your a good student and you can get in, just don't approach podiatry as a backup without looking into it first. I am telling you this because I know now is when you hear from dental schools (4 friends from college got in to dental).
Good luck

Good, it should be competitive to get in. That surge of applicants you talk of is due to the sour economy and people are trying to get back into school (yada, yada).. and I bet you a lot of their GPAs are sub-par because they think, "Well, I was a natural science major, and I did really bad, so I'll apply to here".

I really wouldn't worry about it much. Slam the MCAT and lay the '21' goons to rest.
