I am currently a Junior Psychology Major, will be a senior after the fall. Right now my GPA is low, at 3.23. I do not have any lab or volunteer experience...though I am looking at both options right now. I want to volunteer at a local Psychiatric hospital, but they have yet to let me know anything and apparently do not believe in answering the phone (can you tell I am irked?!)
I am in Georgia...looking for an affordable school in GA or very close (maybe in Florida or Tennessee...) with a clinical focus.
My top three are:
Valdosta State University (where I am now- have heard great things about the program.)
University of Georgia
Kennessaw State University
They all are based on a 3.0 GPA... and an 800 or 1000 on the GRE. I am studying for that now and will likely take that in October or November. The application deadlines begin March 15th for those 3.
Can I get into a program without lab experience and volunteer work?
How bad is a 3.23GPA?
Thanks.
