If you are a sophomore you definitely have time to bounce back. But first, make sure you get the appropriate care for your mental health. Afterwards, focus on keeping an upward trending GPA. Then focus on the MCAT. You got this!

Yes you can, just try to ace as many classes as you can. You can also stretch out your classes so you can have 5 years to finish your bachelors. I did this so I could take extra science classes and improve my GPA. Most importantly, get the care you need and focus on yourself during this time, then worry about the grades. Best of luck 🙂

Yeah, you can do it if you start nailing these classes. I was also a biochem major and finished sophomore year with a similar sGPA. I was able to bring it up to about 3.3 and get accepted. You can too, but you have to figure out what you're doing wrong and fix it. For me it was being lazy in how much I studied.

I am currently an undergraduate biochemistry major and have a cumulative GPA of 3.02

My science GPA is 2.72 and I know I need to raise it before applying to med school. I am only a sophomore so do you think I have time to increase my gpa and science gpa?
My GPA dropped so low after being diagnosed with a mental health condition that impaired me from reaching the grades that I desired.

If I did extremely well on the MCAT would I still have a chance?

Ace everything from now on

If you dont absolutely have to work (or at least that much) I would cut it back. It adds a lot of stress and will give you more time to study.

Basically what everyone else has said, but your education should take 1st priority from now on. There will always be time to shadow/volunteer/etc. down the road, but you need to make sure that you are 100% committed to school and destroy the rest of your classes.
