I submitted AACOMAS back in earlier August, and I received secondaries near the end of the month. I had wanted to have an immediate turn around, but I was hospitalized after an accident.

This past week I have submitted secondaries to KCOM, KCUMB, and CCOM. I am finishing the secondary application for RVUCOM today. DMU preemptively invited me to interview before my secondary was received, on the condition that I have my secondary and LORs submitted by the interview date.

Stats:
- Associate of Science (cGPA: 3.56), Northwest Missouri State University
- Bachelor of Science of Biological Sciences, University of Missouri
- Currently enrolled in grad. certificate
- cGPA: 3.89, science GPA: 3.92
- MCAT: 29R; Physics: 9, Bio: 9, Verbal: 11, Writing: R
- Curator's Scholar Award and Dean's list for 6 consecutive semesters
- 1 year research experience in developmental neurobio lab
- ~100-125 hours clinical shadowing
- 150 hours hospital volunteering
- 3 week-long out-of-country medical relief trips
- Campus Chairperson leadership position for NPO org dedicated to sustainable health and development worldwide (this is the organization that I traveled with for those medical relief trips)
- Attended Student Leadership Conference for this same organization
- 20 hours volunteering as a tutor for Latino children
- 1 semester TA anatomy lab
- 3 years working as a coach

I didn't feel like I was submitting secondaries that late until I started searching around SDN and realized so many people already had interview invitations! I just wanted to get a feel for where I stand right now.

Your're not as late as you may think. The AACOMAS DO application cycle runs longer than that for AMCAS schools. Considering your nice stats and comprehensive ECs, I think you have a good chance of getting a DO acceptance during this application cycle.

You're fine.

Thank goodness! I've seen a lot of activity in the DO forums concerning people already having interview dates. I won't lie - it made me a bit nervous. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us who submitted secondaries in September!

Chances are excellent!

Considering the above average stats, I believe you'll be fine for this cycle.
