I will be applying to PT school this year for fall 2015 and would like to know my chances of getting accepted. My GPA is a 3.7, but my science GPA is a 3.4. My GRE score is a 300. I have 80 hours volunteering at a hospital and private practices. I will also have an internship before I graduate in spring 2015. I've cheered through college and have been involved in other extra curricular activities. I've also done a month long mission trip.

PT is my first choice, but I have also shadowed OT and enjoyed it. I hear OT is easier to get into, so I'm considering it more. I'm debating on what my best option is and would like some feedback. I don't have any preference on a school and will apply anywhere.

Writing GRE score? Observation diversity apart from what you stated? pGPA?

There are things you can do to further improve your chances, such as get more observations hours and maybe retake the GRE and get a few points higher. But with the stats you have right now you could certainly get accepted *somewhere*. As for whether you will get into your first choice? It depends, do you know where you want to apply?

Even though your GRE is 300, I would make sure programs take the 300 sum. Some programs require 300 minimum and also require like 150+ on the verbal section, so you can't get a 300 with like a 160 Q / 140 V, your application will just get tossed.

You should be fine though, GPA looks on par
