Ah once again a "representative" of the arizona school.
I would take this guys words with a grain of salt. If any of the adcom could have read his comments about how he wouldnt treat certain types of patients mr gavin wouldnt even had been admitted ( that benevolent all encompassing LDS social conscience at work: of course gavin will find out quick how
much business he does with this attitude ).
Your gpa shows an upward trend wich is paramount. Schools look at lots of things although in mr utahs "I'm the admissions rep on this board for the AZ school" case they made a mistake.
Let me guess Gavin: your a short little nerd with a napoleonic complex ala your favorite politician ORIN HATCH.
Just remember one thing about Dental/Medical school admissions: some fall thru the cracks like Gavin.
What's with the mean post?
I'm certainly not alone in my feelings about treating lazy individuals who believe healthcare practitioners are an easy fix for their problems. Rather than fix the problem, lazy Americans try to fix the cosmetics behind it. I don't mind treating anybody, but when the same individual is in my office multiple times each year for the SAME problem, and when they've ignored my professional opinion, and when they are NONcompliant--then yeah, I begin to wonder what role is I'm playing in their life. Seems like I'm the fixer of their problems, which is NOT what a healthcare provider is. Ultimately we facilitate and empower people to assist themselves.
My choice in which people to treat will NOT be based on religion, sex, politics, race, age, or sexual orientation, however.
I'm still confused with your Mormon bashing. The OP's question had nothing to do with that, and neither did my post.
My post was nothing but straight-up and honest. And for what it's worth I dislike Orin Hatch.
Johndental, we'll see you again in about 20 days when you decide to rip on somebody else (a quick search of your posts manifests this).
Happy Holidays to all!
